Problem Solving

Large cruisers have one problem: They can’t go to and from the shore line. Most ships are designed to carry a smaller dinghy that takes the passengers to the shore.

Creating Solutions

With Split Decision, it has never been easier to get to the shore line. When needed, the middle part of the boat can be separated and taken to the shore.

Project Concept

The super light carbon fiber deck highlights Split Decision’s elegant look.

The two rooms provide comfort and space to give passengers a chance to fully relax, while listening to music on the integrated Bluetooth speakers.

Split Decision isn’t only elegant, but also high performing. The hydrogen fueled cell motor goes fast and far.

3D Modeling

Follow my steps in the modeling process.

The CAD development of the hull design and form was constructed in Rhino 3D. The model was then analyzed using a flow.

The model was then checked to make sure it was closed in order to CNC. Hydrodynamics of the hull were run with ORCA 3D. Performance tests were analyzed.

CNC began machining the hull and cockpit, which eventuated to a large scaled-down model.

Final Design

Split Decision takes passengers on a relaxed and enjoyable ride into the weekend. Blending both comfort and luxury, Split Decision makes for a perfect weekend getaway.
